This Writ Petition is filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.10.2019.

M/s.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both parties, the Writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that on 16.11.2019, he had deposited a sum of Rs.73,430.60/-, in a fixed deposit scheme before Nagavaram Co-operative Rural Bank Ltd, for which receipt in F.D.No.6941 has also been issued. The rate of interest was 10% per annum and the date of maturity was 05.10.2000. On attaining the maturity of the said fixed deposit, when the petitioner approached https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

W.P.(MD)No.25344 of 2019 the authorities concerned for refund of the same, he came to know that the said Co-operative Rural Bank has been dormanted due to its fraudulent activities. Therefore, the petitioner has made a representation on 13.01.2015 and no action has been taken by the respondents. Further, the complaint made by the petitioner before the Reserve Bank of India, Chennai and forwarded to the first respondent was also kept pending. Moreover, the petitioner has made yet another representation on 11.10.2019 and the same also kept pending. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this present Writ petition.

Considering the nature of relief sought for in the Writ Petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 11.10.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
