Respondents PRAYER: This petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to provide basic facilities of drinking water and Toilets facilities to the 43 Village Administrative Offices, which are situated under Kuruvikulam Union, Thiruvenkadam Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 13.09.2019 and the subsequent representation, dated 14.10.2019, within a stipulated time fixed by this Court. O R D E R

(Order of this Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J) Heard Mr.R.Karunanidhi, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

2. The petitioner, by way of this Public Interest Litigation seeks for providing drinking water and toilet facilities in all the 43 Village Administrative Offices, which are situated under Kuruvikulam Union, Thiruvenkadam Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering the petitioner's representations

3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that all the offices are situated in a Complex, where the Village Panchayat Offices are located, where sufficient toilet and drinking water facilities are provided.

4. In the light of the said stand, we dispose of the writ petition, by directing the 3rd respondent to ascertain as to whether the such facilities are available in all the Village Administrative Offices and if it is not, adequate arrangements be made in that regard. No costs.
