2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to R5 to R10 is dispensed with.

4. I do not want to go into the merits of the matter. It is well settled that a decision taken in the Peace Committee Meeting is not amenable to legal challenge. They are purely advisory and recommendatory in nature. The official respondents 1 to 4 will not exercise their power in order to enforce the decision taken in the impugned Peace Committee Meeting. This is because, the decision taken in such meeting is not traceable to any statutory provision. They do not have any statutory value or force.

5. With this observation and clarification, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 24.11.2022 Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes/ No rmi To 1.The Sub Collector, Cheranmahadevi, 2.The Tahsildar, Radhapuram Taluk, 3/4
