Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.09.2023 to adequately compensate the petitioner for the acquisition of 1900 Sq.Mt of the petitioner's land situated in Re.S.No.90/11A in Therekalputhoor Village, Agasteeswaram Taluk, Kanyakumari District within a time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner's land was acquired under the provisions of the National Highways Act, 1956. The petitioner is not satisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded with the third respondent. He had filed an application before the first respondent under Section 3-G(5) of the National Highways Act, 1956.

3. The first respondent is directed to consider the same and pass an appropriated award on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
