ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner / Accused No.1, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 417, 294(b), 506(i) of I.P.C. and Section 4 of TNPWH Act, 2002 in Crime No.22 of 2023 on the file of the respondent Police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner and the defacto complainant loved each other. On false promise of marrying the defacto complainant, the petitioner had sexual intercourse with her and thereafter, refused to marry her. When the defacto complainant questioned the same to the petitioner, he abused the defacto complainant by using filthy language and threatened her with dire consequences. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case and he has nothing to do with the alleged offence. Hence, he prays for anticipatory bail.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the interverner.

5. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent Police would submit that the investigation is going on.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the 2/3

allegations made against the petitioner are serious in nature, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner
