ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to extend the time to pay the remaining amount under OTS Scheme -2021.

2.Mr.D.Sivaraman, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for admission, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner seeks extension of time to pay the remaining amount under OTS Scheme -2021, now, he is ready to pay 25% of the outstanding amount as on date on or before 22.12.2022 and the remaining outstanding amount in five consecutive monthly installments, for which, the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent is agreeable, however, with liberty to the respondent to proceed against the petitioner in case of default in payment of any one of the installments.

4.Recording the above submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to pay 25% of the outstanding amount as on date on or before 22.12.2022 and the remaining outstanding amount in five consecutive equal monthly installments. The first installment shall be paid on or before 22.01.2023 and the subsequent four installments shall be paid on or before the 22nd day of every English Calendar month. Till such time, the respondent shall not take any coercive action against the petitioner. If the petitioner fails to make any one of the above installments, the respondent may proceed further in accordance with law. No costs.
