ORDER

The petitioner, S.J.Balaji, is the brother of one S.J.Saravanan, who is now working as Joint Director, Department of Industrial Safety and Health. The petitioner has collected certain details that his brother has amassed wealth disproportionate to his source of income and further claims that his brother has travelled abroad without obtaining proper permission. In this regard, he has lodged a complaint before the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption for taking necessary action. Alleging that his representation has not been considered so far, the petitioner has moved this writ petition.

2.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that due to dispute among the family members, this complaint has been lodged. In any event, the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Department has forwarded the complaint to the Department of Industrial Safety and Health and on enquiry, it was found that the petitioner's brother, S.J.Saravanan, has purchased the properties, mentioned in the complaint, after informing 2/4

and obtaining permission from the Parent Department. Insofar as the allegation that without informing the officials, he has travelled abroad, the said allegation is true and that the petitioner's brother for kidney transplantation went to Srilanka, however, without getting prior permission. In this regard, departmental proceedings u/R.17(b) of the Tamil Nadu Civil Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules was initiated as against him.

3.Recording the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor that action has been taken on the petitioner's complaint, this writ petition stands closed. No costs.
