ORDER

The petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to dispose the Patta Appeal Application, vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.A3/11528/2018, dated 21.05.2019, pending on the file of the respondent, within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.T.Vadivelan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Christy Theboral, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner purchased the property in S.F.No.247/1, measuring an extent of 1.10.00 Hectare from one Gopal Konar and Singaram, through a registered sale deed, bearing Document No.2107/2002, dated 04.12.2002 and Patta No.1437 was also issued in favour of the petitioner. While so, at the time of updating the records in the Computer, the said land has been inadvertently mentioned as ''Government Land'' and therefore, the petitioner could not get further Computer Chitta and Adangal to the said land. In this regard, he submitted an application to the District Collector on 24.12.2018 and the same was forwarded to the respondent herein, who in turn, vide his proceedings dated 21.05.2019, directed the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 25.06.2019. The petitioner also appeared before the respondent on the said date and also produced all the relevant documents. Thereafter, there was no progress. Hence, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the petitioner's application, dated 24.12.2018, would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the respondent, within a time frame.

Recording the above said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 24.12.2018, after issuing notice to all the necessary parties concerned and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
