This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider and pass orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 02.03.2025, together with reminder dated 08.08.2023, 04.03.2024, 07.06.2024 and 09.12.2024. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the parties. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that his father, who was employed as a Village Administrative Officer, passed away on 18.08.1986, while in service. Thereafter, the petitioner's mother submitted an application on 14.11.1988 seeking appointment on compassionate ground for the petitioner herein. Subsequently, the petitioner also submitted an application on 10.12.2022 again seeking compassionate appointment. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a detailed representation dated 02.03.2025 to the respondents. As no action was taken on the representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition 2/5
before this Court.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders thereon, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Considering the above facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.03.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law. Such exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
