COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions are filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to issue patta in the name of Petitioners in respect of 2 cents of land in S.No.46/4 situated at Somanathamangalam Group and Village, Kalayarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District by considering the representation of the Petitioners, dated 12.8.2025.

2.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the Petitioners, 0.92.0 hectares of land in S.No.46/4 in the above-mentioned village was acquired for the purpose of providing free house site to the persons belonging to Scheduled caste community. The Petitioners were granted assignment in respect of 2 cents of land in the above said survey number in the year 1997 itself. However, till date, patta has not been issued in the name of Petitioners. It is further stated that taking advantage of non-issuance of patta, the fourth respondent encroached the property assigned to the Petitioners and hence, the Petitioners submitted representation on 12.8.2025 before the first respondent seeking issuance of patta in their name and removal of encroachment.
4.The learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that the Petitioners are restricting their prayer regarding issuance of patta for the above said land. The said statement is recorded. 3/6
5.Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the Petitioners request regarding issuance of patta will be considered on its own merits within the time stipulated by this Court. 6.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 12.08.2025 and pass final orders with regard to the request of the Petitioners for issuance of patta, after providing reasonable opportunity to the Petitioners and the fourth respondent, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of a copy of this order.
7.With the above directions, these Writ Petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
