PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS directing the second respondent to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members, by considering the representation dated 31.08.2024.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the second respondent to give adequate police protection for the life and limb of the petitioner and her family members, by considering the representation dated 31.08.2024.

2. The petitioner had lodged to the second respondent complaining that one Manjula who was employed in the shop had misappropriated and cheated and when the same was questioned she called the petitioner using caste name in front of others and also damaged the properties in the shop. The petitioner had lodged a complaint 29.08.2024 but no action has been taken, hence said Manjula got embolden and started threatening the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.Side) would submit that the contention of the petitioner is misconceived and as against the complaint of the petitioner First Information Report has been registered in Crime No.169 of 2024 on 18.10.2024 for the offences under Sections 329, 296(b),303,351 of BNS, Section 4 of TNPHW Act, Section 3 of TNPPDL Act and Sections 3(1) (r) and 3(1)(s) of SC/ST Act
