ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to issue the passport to the petitioner based on his application in File No.TR1067345328725 dated 22.02.2025.
2. The facts as set out in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition are as follows:- The petitioner would submit that he had submitted his application on 27.01.2025. Thereafter, he had received an adverse report from the 1st respondent regarding criminal antecedent. The adverse report was provided by the 2nd respondent based on the registration of FIR against the petitioner under Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 324 and 506(2) @ into Sections 147, 294(b), 323, 326 and 506(2) of IPC in Crime No.90 of 2024. The petitioner had submitted an explanation vide his letter dated 2/5
23.08.2025. However, the same has not been considered to date and he has not been issued with passport. Therefore, he is before this Court.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) has filed counter affidavit stating that Crime No.90 of 2024 was registered against the petitioner and he was released on bail on 22.04.2024. Now, charge sheet has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Karambakudi.
4. In the light of the above, the petitioner has to await the result of the trial Court and thereafter, renew the application. The writ petition is therefore dismissed as the petitioner has not made out any case for issue of passports pending the trial. No costs.
