This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order passed by the 1st Respondent through his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.23/Ka.A.Thi.Tha.Va/2023 dated 05.10.2023 and quash the same as illegal, consequently, directing the Respondents to grant permission and necessary protection to conduct the Adal Padal Cultural Programme on 11.10.2023 at 07.00 PM to 10.00 PM in connection with Thiru Vizha of Arulmighu Sri Vadakkuvachi Amman Thirukovil at Surankazhuvanpatti, N.Sempatti, Usilampatti Taluk,

The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner submitted that festival for the temple, by name, "Arulmighu Sri Vadakkuvachi Amman Thirukovil at Surankazhuvanpatti, N.Sempatti, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.", is going to be held on 11.10.2023. Subsequent to the same, in order to conduct a cultural programme on 11.10.2023, they sought permission of the police by giving a representation. But, the second respondent has considered and rejected the said representation. Challenging the same, the writ petitioner has come before this Court for the above said relief.

5.The second respondent Police appeared before this Court and stated that on the basis of imperfect representation and non filing of undertaking affidavit, the above said representation has been made by the petitioner and there is some possibility of law and order problem in the proposed place, where the above said event is going to be conducted, the above said representation was rejected by the order vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.23/Ka.A.Thi.Tha.Va/2023 dated 05.10.2023

6. Let proper representation be made by the petitioner by enclosing affidavit and alternative place, date and time. The second respondent is 3/6

directed to consider the above said representation and pass orders on its own merits.

7. With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
