This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application in File No.MD2064608854522, dated 17.09.2022 and Application Reference Number ARN 22-1010785147 and issue passport to him forthwith.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the intervenor.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the second respondent would submit that there is no case pending against the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's Application No.MD2064608854522, dated 17.09.2022, if it is otherwise in order and pass appropriate orders regarding issuance of passport to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
