ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limp of the petitioner based upon his representation, dated 26.08.2025 in order to attend his house warming ceremony.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner, at the outset, would submit that the prayer in this Writ Petition is not happily worded. The petitioner, having constructed a house, is prevented by the respondent Police from attending the house-warming ceremony. The petitioner, therefore, intended to seek only a direction from this Court restraining the respondent Police from preventing him from attending the said function.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner had only sought Police protection for attending the function, therefore, the respondent Police rightly rejected the said request; and that they never intended to prevent the petitioner from attending his family function. 2/4

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, no further direction is required. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
