Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.08.2023 and to remove the lock and seal in the premises at D.No.204, Periyakadai Veethi, Tiruchirappalli, enabling the petitioner to continue the business in the said premises.

ORDER

The petitioner, with a grievance that the TASMAC which is running a shop in her premises at D.No.204, Periyakadai Veethi, Tiruchirappalli has closed down the shop without any notice, has filed this writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner to remove the lock and seal in the shop enabling her to continue the business.

2.Learned Standing Counsel for the respondents / TASMAC submitted that pursuant to the policy decision taken by the Government of Tamil Nadu for closing 500 shops in Tamil Nadu, the shop in question has been closed on 22.06.2023. He further submitted that the key for the shop has been handed over to the petitioner on 26.06.2023 and the petitioner has also made an endorsement to that effect.

Recording the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, this writ petition is closed. No costs.
