PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2024 requesting the 1st respondent to rectify the mistake committed in the petitioner's service register and to pay the revised selection Grade scale of pay within a time limit fixed by this Court. ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired Assistant of the first respondent Municipality, seeking a mandamus to consider his representation dated 27.01.2024.

2.A perusal of the representation reveals that the petitioner has got a grievance with regard to the date on which the petitioner was granted Special Grade Pay has been wrongly entered in the service register and he has made a request to the first respondent to rectify the same, so that he could receive the revised pension. Since the said request has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed.

3.It could be seen from the records that the petitioner has sent a representation on 27.01.2024 to the second respondent. After verification, the second respondent has to forward the same to the first respondent. 4.In view of the above said facts, the second respondent is directed to verify the records and thereafter, forward the request of the writ petitioner to the first respondent within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
