J U D G M E N T

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the appellant and the learned counsels appearing for the respondents.

2. This matter was referred before the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court and the matter is settled by way of settlement agreement entered into between the parties. The details of the settlement which was arrived at between the parties as per the settlement agreement are extracted hereunder: Page No. 2 of 4

"A. Both parties have agreed to share the total maturity amount of the Policy No.1Z721864308 (SBI Life Insurance) of Rs.17,00,000/- (Seventeen Lakhs) and the Appellant has agreed to the share amount of Rs.9,00,000/- (Nine Lakhs) to Mr.Ramadhas (Respondent No.1) and remaining balance amount will be retained by the Appellant B. There is no rival claim over the Respondents 3 & 4 Policy amount by Respondent No.1 at any point of time."

3. This Civil Miscellaneous Appeal preferred by the petitioner is disposed of in terms of agreement. The terms of settlement agreement forms part of the judgment.

4. As regards the respondents No.3 and 4, as there is no rival claimants for the first respondent, there is no impediment for the respondents No.3 and 4 to pay the maturity amount. There is no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Civil Miscellaneous Petitions stand closed.
