O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking the issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct and conclude the enquiry proceedings pending as O.Mu.No.2140/2018/A1 dated 19.05.2018 on the file of the first respondent and Na.Ka.No. 4421/2018/B1 dated 16.07.2018 on the file of the second respondent, in respect of the cancellation of a wrongly issued joint Patta bearing No. 5823 in favour of the fourth respondent, relating to 23 cents in Survey No.754/1, Thimmarasanayakanoor Village, Theni District.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the second respondent will conduct an inquiry and appropriate orders would be passed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Recording the aforesaid submission, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to conclude the enquiry proceedings and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner, respondents 3 and 4 and all other interested parties to the subject property. In the event of any issue pertaining to land disputes, the parties are at liberty to approach the competent civil court. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
