Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records relating to the impugned order passed by the 2nd respondent vide his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.055287/C3/E2/2023, dated 12.09.2023 signed on 14.09.2023 and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to transfer the petitioner to the post of BT.Assistant (Maths) 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner was initially appointed as Block Resource Teacher Educator [BRTE] at Aranthangi in Pudukkottai district in the year 2006. She was subsequently transferred to Thovalai, Kanyakumari district in the year 2008. Thereafter the petitioner was transferred to Pudukkottai in the year 2021.

2.The petitioner with a grievance that she is not in a position to take care of her children and ailing mother, has sought for transfer to Kanyakumari district and her request for transfer was rejected by the order impugned in this writ petition.

3.The petitioner, who is posted at Pudukkottai cannot claim transfer to Kanyakumari district as a matter of right. Therefore, this court 2/4

is not inclined to interfere with the impugned order. However, in the event if there is any vacancy in the Kanyakumari district, the case of the petitioner may be considered sympathetically. 4.With the above direction, this writ petition is closed.
