PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus, directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 26.04.2023 submitted by the petitioner challenging the punishment imposed by the second respondent vide proceeding in Ref.No.Legal: Sa3/5560/3/2018 Legal Department dated 13.03.2023, after affording the petitioner an opportunity of personal hearing, within a time limit that may be fixed by this Court. O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Driver of the first respondent Transport Corporation seeking expeditious disposal of the appeal.

2. The petitioner suffered an order of punishment at the hands of the second respondent herein on 13.03.2023. Challenging the said order, the petitioner had filed an appeal before the first respondent, on 26.04.2023. 2/5

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the order of punishment has been imposed without notice or enquiry. Hence, he seeks for expeditious disposal of the appeal by the first respondent.

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this writ petition stands disposed of There shall be no order as to costs.
