This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents 4 to 6 herein to provide police protection to the petitioners during celebration of Perumal Karthigai Festival scheduled on 11.12.2019 in A/m. Sri Kamba Perumal Thirukoil, Pichampatti, Aundipatty, Aundipatty Diversion-I, Theni District and consequently direct the respondents 4 to 6 herein to provide police protection to the petitioners for all the annual festivals of "Maha Sivarathiri Festival, Panguni Uthira Natchathiram Day Festival, Purattasi Month last Saturday Festival and Perumal Karthigai Festivals celebrated in A/m.Sri Kamba Perumal Thirukoil, Pichampatti, Aundipatty, Aundipatty Diversion-I, Theni District, in the light of settlement proceedings and ryotwari patta issued by Settlement Tahsildar No.II, Madurai-2 in SR.No.159/M.I.ACT/PKM/68, dated 08.01.
1969 holding the ancestors of petitioners as hereditary trustees of the temple A/m.Sri Kamba Perumal Thirukoil, Pichampatti, Aundipatty, Aundipatty Diversion-I, Theni District. 2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. side) for the respondents 1 to 6 would submit that the request of the petitioner has been rejected by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Aundipatty Sub-division by his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.24/Kaa.Thu.Ka/Aundipatty/2019, dated 11.10.2019.
3.Recording the above submission, the Writ Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order of 2/3
rejection. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
