Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents to regularize the contract carriage vehicle registered other than State of Tamil Nadu transporting passengers collecting individual fare, en-route by picking up and setting down passengers within Kanyakumari Dist indulging in illicit operation.

Contempt Petition(MD)No.1801 of 2019 submitted that the second respondent had already considered the petitioner's representation dated 20.02.2018 and also taken action by impounding ten vehicles. The second respondent has also sent a communication vide Na.Ka.No.59794/B3/18, dated 20.05.2019, to the Transport Commissioner, Chennai and the District Collector, Kanyakumari District, in this regard.
