PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 and 3 to disburse the Higher Start Pay of Rs.14,940 with effect from 27/07/1998 as per G.O.Ms.No.111, Higher Education Department, dated 24/03/1999 issued by the Respondent No.1 and the consequential proceedings of the Respondent No.3 in Na.Ka.No.46875/J1/2018-2 dated, 04/10/2018 , along with all consequential benefits, in parity with the Government College Teachers within the time stipulated by this Court. Seeking revision of scale of pay, the petitioners have submitted a representation before the respondents on 28.09.2019 and since the same was not considered by them, the petitioners have approached this Court with this writ petition. 3/6
2.Today(06.12.2024), when this writ petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents by referring to the proceedings of the Commissioner of Collegiate Education in Na.Ka.No.36074/J1/2024, dated 04.12.2024 submits that these petitioners are not eligible for the revision of scale of pay and therefore, the request of these petitioners has been rejected. A copy of the proceedings dated 04.12.2024 was also placed before this Court and also furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioners.
3.Recording the submissions of the learned Special Government Pleader, this writ petition is closed with liberty to these petitioners to work out their remedy in the manner known to law. 06.12.2024 NCC:Yes/No Index:Yes vrn 4/6
