(Order of the Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent 1 to 8, to improve the damaged road as a motorable road between Velur to Periyakottai cut road and a small road between Velur road to Perumal Kovil of Velankulam including the road side plantations and to direct the respondents 4 to 8 to enforce the orders of the District Collector, Sivagangai, in respect of maintenance of Velankulam Tank and inlet supply channels by considering the petitioner representation dated 02.11.2022, within a time frame.

2. Heard Mr.C.M.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner; Mr.P.Thilak Kumar, learned Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.S.P.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents 6 to 8.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has sought for a larger relief, he would be satisfied if a

direction is issued to the respondents 1 to 8, to consider and dispose of his representation dated 02.11.2022, in accordance with law and within a time frame.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer now sought for by the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 to 8, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.11.2022, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
