5.The Senior Divisional Railway Manager (Finance), : Respondents in both Writ Petitions COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.10.2023 in specific time frame.

For Petitioner : Mr.B.Mohamad Kalibullah For Respondents : Mr.K.Govindarajan Deputy Solicitor General of India [In both Writ Petitions] COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed for a Mandamus seeking for a direction to the second respondent to pass final orders on the petitioner's representations dated 18.10.2024, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2.The petitioner claims that he has done works contract for the respondents [Southern Railway]. According to him, in spite of the 2/6

works done by him, payments have not been made. The petitioner has filed the contract and other documents along with these Writ Petitions in support of his claim. The petitioner had given representations on 18.10.2024, to the second respondent requesting for payments. Since the said representations have not been considered, he has filed the present Writ Petitions. The petitioner also claims that the payments to be made by the respondents [Southern Railway] are undisputed payments.

3.Mr.K.Govindarajan, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.No prejudice will be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representations as stated supra are considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5.For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the second respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representations dated 18.10.2024, seeking payments within a period of twelve [12] weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
