The petitioner had applied for copies of revenue records under the Right to Information Act, 2005, on 17.08.2021. The present Writ Petition has been filed on the ground that the documents requested for by the petitioner have not been provided till date.

2. Learned Government Advocate appears on behalf of all respondents. He submits that the Tahsildar is designated as the Public Information Officer under the statute. He seeks three (3) months' time from the date of receipt of a fresh representation to provide the documents requested for by the petitioner.

3. By taking note of the submissions of learned Government Advocate, this Writ Petition is disposed of on the following terms: i. Within two (2) weeks from the date of disposal of this Writ Petition, the petitioner shall submit an application to the Tahsildar, Tenkasi, for issuance of necessary documents. ii. Within three (3) months from the date of receipt of such application, the Tahsildar, Tenkasi, is directed to provide the documents requested for subject to payment of requisite fees. iii. No costs.
