PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made in public pathway comprising in Survey Nos.353, 353, Karaiyur Street, Athirampattinam, Pattukottai Taluk within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the authorities will conduct a survey, identify the encroachments and thereafter, remove the same.

2.In view of the said submission, the respondents 1 to 4 are directed to conduct a field inspection and survey, identify encroachments if any and thereafter initiate appropriate action for the removal of such encroachments by following the procedures as contemplated under the relevant statutes and rules in force, after affording due opportunity to the parties. The said exercise is directed to be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3.With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
