Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to stop the fourth respondent, his agent or men from collection of money under the guise of (Salaiyora Viyabaram Thinasari Kattana Vasool) from the petitioner against law based on the petitioner's representation dated 15.10.2024. 1/4

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to stop the fourth respondent for collecting the amount in the name of Salaiyora Viyabaram Thinasari Kattana Vasool from the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

3. It is seen that the petitioner is a street vendor. The fourth respondent was awarded with contract to collect toll in the name of Salaiyora Viyabaram Thinasari Kattana Vasool. The specific contention of the petitioner is that he was directed to pay more than Rs.100/- per day for vending Chappals.

4. Admittedly, the fourth respondent was awarded with contract and he was the highest bidder, accordingly, he is collecting toll from all the 2/4

vendors. However, the second respondent is directed to ensure that the fourth respondent shall not collect more than the amount, which was fixed as per the tender.
