This criminal original petition had been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.970 of 2014, on the file of the 1st Respondent Police. 1/4

2.During morning mentioning time, the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner requested to take up the case by before lunch. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in this case, the occurrence took place on 30.11.2014 and the FIR in Crime No.970 of 2014 was also registered on the same day of occurrence. After investigation, final report had been laid only on 08.06.2022, before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai and the E-filing number is 3787/2022. However, the learned Judicial Magistrate No.IV, Madurai, has not taken the same on file since it is filed beyond the period of limitation.

4.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this criminal original petition is allowed. Accordingly, the FIR in Crime No.970 of 2014 is hereby quashed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
