O R D E R
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner herein on and after completion of 10 years of services, on the basis of the representation dated 29.10.2019, as per the Government letter No.Tha.1/997/(252)/2018, dated 17.10.2018, within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. Mr.R.Sethuraman, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.
3. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as 'NMR, Mazdoor Grade I' on 21.07.1999, under the Assistant Executive Engineer, Water Resource Organization (WRO), Public Works Department, Kundaru Water Basin Division, Kariapatti, Virudhunagar District and he has completed 20 years of service in the status of daily wages employee as well as on contract basis. The petitioner is still continuing his service without any blemish. The 3rd respondent herein has recommended his name vide letter No. Tha.1/997(252)/2018 dated 17.10.2018, for regularization of service to the 4th respondent, based on which, the petitioner is eligible to the post of Service Inspector as on 20.07.2016. In this regard, the petitioner has made a representation on 29.10.2019 to the respondents and the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the petitioner has come out with the present Writ Petition.
4. Considering the nature of relief sought for in the Writ Petition, this Court directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.10.2019, on merits and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is ordered. No costs.
