O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue patta, in respect of the lands situate in S.No.558/2 admeasuring 2 Acre 77 Cents in Thimmarasanaickanur - I Village, Andipatti Taluk, Theni District, by considering his representation dated 16.09.2022.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.T.Selvan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.K.Malathi, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner he has been in possession and enjoyment of the above mentioned property from the days of his grandfather. Based on the long possession, the petitioner submitted a representation before the first respondent seeking issuance of patta in his name, after cancelling the revenue documents that stand in the name of one Subramanian and Ramaiah Naidu. The said representation has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who appear for the 2/4

respondents would submit that the revenue records in the name of Subramaniam and Ramaiah Naidu have been already cancelled and the above mentioned property has been mentioned as Sarcar Tharisu in the revenue records as on today. The learned Additional Government Pleader further submitted that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered on its own merits.

In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.09.2022, and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
