PRAYER : Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records relating to the impugned FIR in Crime No.273/2021 dated 13.06.2021 on the file of R1 police and quash the same as illegal.

ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.273 of 2021 dated 13.06.2021 on the file of R1 police. 2.The contention of the petitioners is that based on the complaint lodged by the 2nd respondent, the 1st respondent registered the First Information Report in Crime No.273 of 2021 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323 and 324 of IPC and Section 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that after completing the investigation, final report has been filed before the concerned Court, deleting the name of the first petitioner from array of accused. Hence, the matter become infructuous. 4.In view of the above, the petitioners 2 to 8 are at liberty to challenge the final report, if so aggrieved, through appropriate 2/4

proceedings.

5.Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 07.11.2023 NCC :
