ORDER
Mr.V.Kathirvelu, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India, assisted by Mr.A.Srinivasan, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.M.Murugan, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the second respondent.
2. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. This Writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to issue a passport by considering his representation dated https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P(MD)No.25678 of 2019 19.11.2019.
4. Admittedly, there were three cases against the petitioner before the Special Judge for NDPS Act Cases, Madurai in C.C.No.75 of 2011, C.C.No.52 of 2016 and in C.C.No.160 of 2015 and in all three cases, the petitioner has been acquitted on 19.03.2015, 11.08.2017 and 29.12.2016 respectively. There was yet another proceedings under Section 110 Cr.P.C., initiated by the Tahsildar of Natham in O.R.No.310 of 2017. It is stated that there also the petitioner had complied it in a manner known to law. As it is only a direction sought for, to dispose of his representation dated 19.11.2019, which is for renewal of the passport, the first respondent is directed to consider the same in a manner known to law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
