ORDER

Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. The petitioner alleges that UDR entry is erroneous in respect of the petition mentioned land. It is the District Revenue Officer who is the competent authority to make correction. The petitioner however appears to have moved the Revenue Divisional Officer. If the petition is before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai, the same will be forwarded to the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai.

3. The second respondent is directed to conclude enquiry proceedings and pass final order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I make it clear that I have not gone into merits of the matter. It is open to the second respondent to pass order one way or other. Interested persons shall be put on notice.
