Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take appropriate action and ensure the irrigation of Aayacut lands of Pakkudi Eri through the southern side sluice (Aalamadi) of Pakkudi Eri situate in S.F.No.17 of Oorvani Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District by considering their representation, dated 30.08.2024.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 30.08.2024 with a request to take appropriate action and ensure the irrigation of Aayacut lands of Pakkudi Eri through the southern side sluice (Aalamadi) of Pakkudi Eri situate in S.F.No.17 of Oorvani Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukkottai District.

2. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

Without expressing any opinion on merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to consider the application submitted by the petitioner, dated 30.08.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as the respondents 4 to 7 and after giving an opportunity of hearing to the parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
