ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders to direct the respondent police to conduct a fair investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent police within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that based on the complaint lodged by one Ramasubramanian, the respondent police registered an FIR in Crime No. 2 of 2023 and that the investigation is in progress. He further submitted that so far 47 witnesses have been examined and report sent to Vigilance Commission on 19.09.2023 to obtain sanction of prosecution from the Competent Authority. Hence, he seeks four month time to file a final report before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court. 2/4

Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the first respondent police is directed to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2023 before the jurisdictional Magistrate Court, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
