For Petitioner : Mr.Joel Paul Antony COMMON ORDER This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 528 of B.N.S.S., seeking orders, to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate Court, Musiri, Trichy District to expedite the trial and dispose of the 1/4
proceedings in S.T.C.No.2 of 2023 within a time frame fixed by this Court.
2. Since the petition is filed for early disposal of the case, issuance of notice to the respondent is not necessary.
3. It is evident from the records that the petitioner has filed a private complaint against the respondent for the offences under Sections 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act and the case was taken on file in S.T.C.No.2 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Musiri.
4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent is dragging on the case without any valid reason and that the petitioner is regularly appearing before the concerned Court. 5.Considering the above and taking note of the fact that the case is pending from 2023, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Musiri, is directed to proceed with the trial in S.T.C.No.2 of 2023 and dispose of the case as expeditiously as possible as per Section 143(3) of the Negotiable Instruments Act.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
