Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent.
2. Issuance of notice to respondents 2 and 3 is dispensed with.
3. The petitioner challenges the impugned proceedings dated 26.06.2023 issued by the first respondent. Lands had been acquired under the provisions of the National Highways Act 1956. Since dispute arose between the petitioner on the one hand and the private respondents on the other, the authority decided that the compensation will be disbursed based on the outcome of the civil proceedings between the parties. Respondents 2 and 3 herein had filed O.S.No.225 of 2019 on the file of the Sub Court, Devakottai. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner informed that the suit is pending at the trial stage.

4. The learned trial Judge is directed to dispose of O.S.No.225 of 2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. This writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 17.10.2023 NCC : Yes / No Index : Yes / No Internet : Yes / No PMU Note :1.Registry to mark a copy of this order to the learned Sub Judge, Devakottai.
