O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members based on the petition given by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent dated 12.09.2023.

2. Heard both sides.

3.The second respondent is present before this Court and stated that both the petitioner and the accused persons are family relatives (Pangaalies). Over a dispute of borewell, trouble has arisen between them, over which a case and a counter case have also been registered. Even after registration of the case and a counter case, trouble still exists between the parties.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the grievance of the petitioner is that because of the life threat made by the accused persons, the petitioner is not in a position to visit his own town. Hence, he has made a representation seeking police protection.

5. The petitioner's representation be enquired and disposed of within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
