The present Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Inspector of Police seeking a mandamus to reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the writ petitioner and his wife towards Covid-19 treatment.
2. The first respondent herein has already forwarded the particulars to the second respondent by his proceedings, dated 19.04.2023 along with all the medical documents. However, the second respondent is yet to take a decision and it has been informed to the third respondent for disbursal of the amount.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.
4. In view of the above said facts, the second respondent herein is directed to consider the communication of the first respondent dated 19.04.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
