ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.76 of 2020 dated 18.04.2020 on the file of the Inspector of Police, K.Pudhupatti Police Station, Pudukkottai District.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent submitted that investigation in this case has been completed and charge sheet also made ready. He further submitted that a counter case is also pending against the defacto complainant.

3.In view of the above, the first respondent Police is directed to follow the Clause 566(ii) of the Police Standing Orders and file the 2/4

charge sheet within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. The petitioners are at liberty to workout their remedy in the manner known to law.
