O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 25.09.2024 and complete the enquiry within a stipulated period and give separate patta in favour of the petitioner for the Survey No.759/23, Pachalanaickenpatti Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District.

2. According to the petitioner, his father acquired the subject property to an extent of 2 1/2 cents vide partition deed, dated 11.06.1963. The petitioner continued to possess and enjoy the subject property after his father's demise. Later, the petitioner approached the revenue authorities to verify the patta, if any, in his father's name. The petitioner found that patta was issued to the petitioner's father for 1 1/2 cents of land, which was contrary to the partition deed, under which the petitioner's father was given 2 1/2 cents. Further, the mistake had crept in during UDR proceedings. As the first respondent was the competent authority to change the UDR patta, the petitioner made a representation to him on 25.09.2024 for correcting UDR patta. As no action was 2/5

taken by the first respondent, the petitioner filed the writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the enquiry is pending before the Thasildar, Palani and after completion of the enquiry, appropriate orders would be passed on the petitioner's representation.

4. In view of the said submission, a direction is issued to the second respondent to complete the enquiry and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
