ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/accused who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 6(4) Tamilnadu Scheduled Commodities (RDCS)Order, 1982 and Section 7(i)(a)(ii) Essential Commodities Act, 1955, in Crime No.157 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution, as per the de-facto complainant is that on 11.09.2023, at about 4.15 a.m., when the respondent police along with his police team went on raid, they found the accused persons in possession of 1050 kilograms of PDS Rice, illegally.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and a false case has been foisted against him.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is having two previous cases similar in nature. 2/3

5.Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner, the earlier anticipatory application filed by the petitioner was dismissed by this Court.
