PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents to disburse the difference amount of Gratuity Rs.44,818/- along with interest at the rate of 6% on the base of the petitioners representation dated 27.09.2024. ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation, seeking a mandamus to disburse the difference in gratuity amount of Rs.44,818/- along with 6% interest. 2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, his two year training period has not taken into consideration while calculating gratuity amount. Hence, the petitioner has sent a representation on 27.09.2024 seeking to calculate the said period also for calculating gratuity. Since the said request has not been considered, the instant writ petition has been filed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner dated 27.09.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case, any payment is made, the same shall carry interest at the rate of 6% from the due date till the date of disbursement.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
