ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport corporation, seeking interest for the belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner had attained superannuation on 30.04.2023 and the terminal benefits were belatedly released after 17 months. The petitioner has sent a representation on 01.10.2024 seeking interest. Since there is no response, the instant writ petition has been filed.

3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to pay 6% interest from the due date till the date of disbursement within the period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
