ORDER

The petitioner has prayed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider his representation, dated 27.07.2022, and 1/4

conduct enquiry and dispose the same within a stipulated time as prescribed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.A.Chandrakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner purchased the land in question from one Raman through a registered sale deed, bearing Document Nos.655 and 656/1983, dated 02.06.1983. After the demise of his vendor, his wife namely, Krishnammal and her family members forged documents as if they are the owners of the land and sold the same to some third parties on 14.04.2022, pursuant to which, the second respondent had also issued Patta without verifying the revenue records. In order to cancel the said Patta, the petitioner sent a representation dated 27.07.2022, to the second respondent. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation, dated 27.07.2022, would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed, within a time frame.

Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 27.07.2022, after giving an opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties concerned, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
