The present Writ Petition has been filed by an Assistant working in the respondent Office seeking a Mandamus to consider his representation dated 07.10.2024.

2. A perusal of the representation reveals that the petitioner was appointed as a Junior Assistant on 28.11.2018 and he was promoted as an Assistant on 03.11.2022. Thereafter, the petitioner was transferred from Chennai to Dindigul.

On 30.09.2024, the petitioner was transferred from Dindigul to Reddiyarchathiram. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that when his juniors are available in the cadre of Assistant at Dindigul, he should not have been transferred to Reddiyarchathiram. The petitioner has also relied upon the clarification issued on 06.05.1997 by the office of the Director of Horticulture. Therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondent on 07.10.2024, to cancel the transfer order and repost him at Dindigul. Since the said representation is kept pending, the present writ petition has been filed.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 2/4

5. Considering the above said facts, the respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 07.10.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
