ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Mandamus directing the 1st respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 19.07.2023 and promote him as a Deputy Tahsildar ahead of those who have already been promoted.

2. According to the writ petitioner, he was selected through Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and he has joined as a Revenue Assistant on 05.12.2012. However, those who joined duty in the year 2013 and who have been placed junior to him in the merit list prepared by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission have already been promoted. Hence, he has given a representation on 19.07.2023, which is yet to be disposed off by the 1st respondent.

3. Considering the grievance expressed by the writ petitioner, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the writ 2/4

petitioner, dated 19.07.2023 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition stands disposed of on the above said terms. No costs.
