O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a H.O.D of P.G.Computer Science Department, seeking a Mandamus as against the first respondent for expeditious disposal of his appeal.

2. The Disciplinary Committee of the fourth respondent College has passed an order on 14.02.2023 imposing a punishment of dismissal from service. A perusal of the said order reveals that as against the order of dismissal, an appeal lies before the first respondent. The petitioner herein has filed his appeal before the first respondent on 26.07.2024. Since the appeal has not yet been disposed of, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the second respondent. 2/4

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on 26.07.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
